• 3 tbsp of flour
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 2 lb medium shrimp
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup of dry white wine
  • Salt
  • White pepper
  • Nutmeg 
  • Sweet Paprika


Cook the shrimp in half the butter. Add the wine, cook for 2 mins and add the rest of the butter. Right then, add the flour, previously mixed with the milk and egg yolks, little by little and mixing constantly until it jells. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Continue cooking at low heat and stirring with a wooden spoon for a few more minutes. Finally, sprinkle the paprika. When served, it can be adorned with fried bread along the edge.
