Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lb of ground beef
- Some flour to roll the meatballs
- 1/2 medium-size onion
- A large strip of finely chopped green pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/4 cup of milk
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/8 tsp of black pepper
Preparation
Mix all the raw ingredients well, divide and shape in small spheres. Roll the individual meatballs in flour and fry in oil for a few minutes until golden in color. Take the meatballs out of the oil and prepare a sauce with the following ingredients: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, 1 strip of green pepper, 1 medium-sized onion, 1 can (8oz) of your favorite tomato sauce, 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 cup of dry white wine. Sauté the garlic, onion and green pepper in the hot olive oil. When onion looks translucent, add the tomato sauce and the wine. Place the meatballs in that sauce, cover and cook in low flame for approximately 30 minutes.
