Ingredients

  • 2 Plantains
  • Vegetable Oil, for frying
  • Salt, for seasoning

Preparation

Peel the plantain under cold water. Cut in 1" rounds. Fry in a shallow pan in 1" of hot oil, remove from pan, piece by piece, place in a piece of aluminum foil, fold over and smash with your hand, return to the hot oil and brown again, turning them once each.
Season with salt. These are also known as "platanos a puñetazos".
